My career is a culmination of roughly four beliefs. First, I believe that the world should operate fairly. Second, I believe people operate best when they have a controlled level of stress in their life. Third, I believe that science gives us clear answers on how to solve given problems. Fourth, I believe in objective decision making. As a result of these four beliefs, I have devoted my career to doing whatever I can to remove stress and unfairness from the workplace, and I follow research and data to try to accomplish this mission.
I hold a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (with a statistics minor) from Wayne State University, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Auburn University, and a teaching certificate from the Wayne State's Office for Teaching and Learning. I currently work for NASA as a Management and Program Analyst in the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity. I devote the rest of my attention to teaching at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and/or conducting research.

I am a member of several professional organizations and one honor society (Psi Chi). I am most active in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I am also a member of the Society for the Psychological Study of LGBT issues, the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, and the Alabama Association of Public Personnel Administrators.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time with my pets and my wife Lindsay. I also spend my free time watching sports (mostly football, but also basketball and baseball), writing/playing music, reading books, and playing with one of my many exotic pets. I also consider myself somewhat of a food and beverage connoisseur.
